Obituary

Mildred Wilson was born on May 16, 1928 to Otis Mills and Tommie Lee Johnson in Flatonia, Texas.

She accepted Christ at an early age in Macedonia Baptist Church in Flatonia, Texas and upon moving to Corpus Christi, Texas united with St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church and later united at Calvary First Baptist Church under the current Pastoralship of Bishop C.E. Richardson, Sr., where she attended faithfully until her health began to fail.

She attended schools in Flatonia, Texas and graduated. Upon finishing school Mildred attended Hicks Beauty College in San Antonio, Texas; where she received her degree in Cosmetology and Became a Licensed Beautician.

Mildred was known for doing hair and had a salon in her home.

Mildred was married to Jim Wilson and to this union 3 Children were born-Evelyn Eriksen, Annie Robinson, and     Tommie Sharkey Venson.

In life those who knew her loved her. She was known for her love for the elderly and caring for the sick and shut-in…She was known to many as Baby Mae to her friends and family.

On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, God saw the road was getting rough, and the hills hard to climb, so He closed Her Weary eyelids and sweet peace she did find…Waiting to meet Her at Heaven’s Gates were Her Parents, Her Husband-Jim Wilson; One Brother-Ed Lewis Mills; and Her Best Friend Ms. Teenie Stoney…

She leaves in God’s Keeping: Her Children-Evelyn Eriksen, Annie Robinson, and Tommie(Thomas)Venson; Her Brothers-Harold(Joyce)Mills, and George Earl(Margaret)Mickey; A Sister-Lee Ella Toliver; Her Granddaughter that she raised as her own-Sonya Hammonds(Warren); A Special Cousin-Joan Jay; Her Grandchildren: Shena Sharkey, Shelly Mitchell, Amber Sharkey, and Theldon Sharkey, Jr.; Her 5 Great Grandchildren who she cherished-R.J. O’Mari, Kayla, Alyssah, and Mariah along with Her Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends…
